The War of the Worlds: Trump America

The Wars of the Worlds symbolizes as we know as of today's "Fake News." The Wars of the Worlds have created propaganda to create fear. If we compare to Wars of the Worlds and Trump America, there is no difference between them beside create fear for the people to believe. People are very gullible to believe what the media says or do. In the early technology of radio, people are willing to believe whatever the radio broadcaster sent their daily news too. Orson Welles pioneers the freedom of expression on media. It is sporadic for individuals who are willing to give a live-air announcement based on a science fiction segment of the radio show. I do personally think during the 1930s; media was significant sources of information. During that time, America was soon to enter World War II. Orson Welles was not afraid to showcase his creativity despite the back flash from major radio stations such as CBS and FCC ( Federal Communication Commission).

January of 2016, President Donald Trump has become 45th U.S. President of United States. We are starting to the similarity of the "War of the Worlds." Although War of the Worlds is a radio entertainment science fiction, there is a sense of creating propaganda. The media outrage happened during the closer the World War II. We do have a god giving rights to freely express ourselves to the point where we have to censor ourselves. Welles presented to the mass media that there is no such as censorship. Censorship is caused us to not freely express ourselves or creating a platform to showcase creativity through film, music, art, or other media platform. Since we are living "Trump America." We are starting to see more "political correctness". It is unfair to censor ourselves in order to not create fear or offensive to certain people who feel that way. We saw President Trump did not censor himself regardless of whatever the policies or law in place. I think "War of the Worlds" showcase how far is censorship cam about and how we communicate to the general public to give newsworthy without creating any fear.
